Natalia Turnova was born on March 19, 1957, in Kabul, Afghanistan. She enrolled in the art design department of the Moscow Higher School of Industrial Art. Since 1985, she has been a member of the Young Artists and Art Critics Section of the Moscow Union of Artists (MOSKh). Since 1996, she has been a member of the MOSKh (Association of Monumental Artists). She was a finalist for the Kandinsky Prize in the "Project of the Year" category (2010) for her project "Diagnosis" (2008-2010). Her works are held by the State Tretyakov Gallery, the Far Eastern Art Museum, the Oklahoma City Museum (USA), the Museum of Modern Art in Lodz (Poland), and the Moscow Museum of Modern Art.
