He graduated from the A. Kutateladze Tbilisi State Academy of Arts. By his own admission, his friendship with Sergei Parajanov greatly influenced his work. From 1987 to 1991, Oleg worked as a designer at the Marjanishvili Theater. During this time, Timchenko and his friends formed a theater group called the "10th Floor Group," which included Georgian performance artists. The artist has participated in group exhibitions in Russia, Great Britain, Switzerland, France, Germany, Montenegro, and Hungary. His works are held in museums in Georgia, Russia, Great Britain, Germany, Austria, and Hungary, as well as in private collections worldwide.
