Born in 1946 in Moscow. He graduated from the Art and Graphic Faculty of the Moscow State Pedagogical Institute (1969). Since 1994, he has been a member of the Moscow Union of Artists. One of the founders of the Sots Art. At the turn of the 1970s, he joined the circle of artists, later known as the "Rogov Street group" - after the location of the studio of one of them, Boris Orlov (the artists of the group also included Dmitry A. Prigov, Igor Shelkovsky and others). His works are kept in the Tretyakov Gallery, the Russian Museum, the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts, the largest collections in the USA and Germany, as well as in private collections in Switzerland, Denmark, Italy, France, England, Sweden, Australia, etc.
